Farewell to My Sister Kirby

There is much sadness about. We were trying to pull ourselves together to blog about the passing of Kirby and we read about the dear, dear Wally.

It is quite possibly more than the human can take.

The sudden passing of Kirby has left us heartbroken. The house seems empty and far too quiet.

We don't know how we will cope.

Playing Catch-Up

Well bloggies if the human can get back on track I'll try to fill you all in on what little excitement I've had lately.

I've got some great pictures from what the human says was a frozen fog. It was weird creepy and fun to lick.

Here's some pictures of me and Kirby on the back porch (better known as Kirby's porch). Now for some reason the human freaks out whenever Kirby and I Conga, but lately every time we dance there's the human tryin to take a picture of us. I'm not cool with that. I mean, you know, we dance for our own enjoyment and why the sudden need to take a picture of the very thing I'm always gettin screamed at to stop? Huh?

Hee Hee. Didn't quite get the picture!

I really hope you all are doin great. I don't know if the human can suck it up and find time to catch up on all your blogs but we'll try to stay current. Sheesh! I hope we can do that!

New Year Big Changes

Hey all you doggie bloggies! I hope you all had great holidays. I haven't had much chance to do bloggin. So here's a picture of me under the big tree in Gryff's house.

Here's a picture of Gryff's big tree.

I was a very good boy all holiday long and never did anything bad in the big house. The Grandhumans were here and tons of fun as always. They are very good at giving tummy rubs and treats. I was sad when they left.

There's been lots of things going on with the humans. They are doing something called separating. So there's been lots of boxes moving and weeping and sadness. It is getting better now. I don't know why it is happening but I know it had nothing to do with me puking Kirby biscuits on the big bed.

Now there is more room for me in the big bed. I've been getting lots of hugs and tummy rubs. So it all good.

Who's Callin Who Butt Breath

Hey all you bloggie Doggies. My human has been "busy" Whatever. I guess if you are too busy then things happen.

I think you all know of my sister Kirby

Well Kirby made some "biscuits" and they were nice and warm right from the oven and steamin in the snow. So like any normal doggie. I ate them.

Then I was in the house, you know, warmin up the tootsies, and I burped. And I burped some more and the human was all freaked out and was all like "Your burps smell like poo!"

No! Hello! My burps smell like Pig Buscuits. And anyway, Get Over IT! I don't see ya comin to brush my teeth now! HeHeHeHe.

Now it has been really cold and my human found the time to video these giant snow flakes which make the human happy.

Enjoy!

First SNOW (and a clarification)

Hey all you bloggie doggies. We gots a really great first snow of the season here. But before I tell you all about the snow I need to clear something up.

I have never been banned from MY house. I was banned from the BIG house (also know as Gryff's house) for doin potties on the rug.

Now if Gryff was a stand up kind of guy he would admit that he had peed on the rug first, maybe many moons before I did, and that is why I felt compelled to pee there too.

MY house is MY house and I totally rule the roost so to speak.

I gets on all the furniture and I let the humans sleep in MY very large and high off the ground bed.

So, I just wanted to make sure you all understand the situation.

NOW about the SNOW!

It started to snow yesterday morning. There was a brief period where is was sleety rain, then it turned into huge flakes and it snowed for the rest of the day and into the night.

Here is the snow yesterday evening on our walkie to the barn. Look how I blend in here. and here. Things smell different covered in snow. Now I love the snow but my sister, Kirby, she no likey likey. The human had to bribe her with celery (yuck) to go potty.

Thanksgiving in the Big House

Well, it was some sort of big deal holiday here. Everyone was all worried about this bird.

Can you believe it? It's not even alive. You would not believe the attention this dead bird got. It was bathed and soaked and stuffed. Then while it was in the hot box it was basted and turned. Sheesh! Let me tell you it did smell really good.

Then there was all this other food. The whole house smelled like heaven.

How did I know all of this? Well I was finally let back in the big house. I have never revealed this embarrassing bit of information but I was banned from the big house.

Now here's the whole story. I was just a pup and it really was an accident. I was running around and I peed (um, well, and pooped) on a very nice (so they say) rug.

Here I am happily lounging in the big house.

Here's me again. Very content smelling the smells.

Enough with the pictures already.

Crisis Solved

Hey you all are a great bunch of doggies.

I got it all worked out. Thanks to Opy, Lorenza, and Khyra who totally stepped up helped me get it all figured out.

I found some really great stuff to roll in today that made the humans crazy so No pictures and I got a BATH. I'm not happy about that.

You know you go through all that work to find the stinky stuff, roll in the stinky stuff being careful to coat my coat in all the right places and then the humans ruin everything.

But they don't know where the stinky is so I can go right back there tomorrow! He He He!

I've Got A Crisis (But don't panic it's not scary)

Hey all you bloggie doggies. My human has me in a tizzie. I want to be able to send Dogmas cards to my friends but I cannot log on the Dogs With Blogs because my Human can't remember my password or maybe they gots the user name wrong I don't know! Remembering passwords is not my department.

We've been entering user names and email addresses for about an hour with no luck. I don't know how one can forget these things.

Does any one know what I should do?

Send Love To Snickers

Hey everybloggie!

There is a doggie out there that needs help. Now I don't know Snickers personally but I know how it feels to need help. So here's the scoop of Snickers' story and what you need to do help.

I didn't come up with any of this myself. I copied from others.

Here is what Fergi and Jake have said:

Last night looked as if it might have been her last.
This morning she rebounded with improved symptoms.

She is far from out of the woods
But she and her family
Including her gentle and loving brother Butchy
Have been granted another day.

We can’t help but believe
that part of the improvement is because of
The support and love that have surrounded her
From all around the world

Thanks to the linked paws
Of her blogging friends.
The Power of the Paw
We are asking everyone to set your alarms
And at exactly 11:00 PM GMT on Saturday 14 Nov 09

(Go to this link to find what time that is for you)

5:00 PM Saturday evening in Iowa
as Snickers' family sits down to eat
Turn toward them (in the central USA)
And join together in a silent minute
Of prayer, meditation, contemplation, reflection
Whatever feels right to you.

Well It's About Freakin Time

My human has finally come back. I was very unhappy while they were gone. I was so depressed that I didn't do any bloggin. You might have noticed.

I'm really happy that they came back. But you know humans expect us to come runnin when they come home, all happy, tail waggin, big joyous greetin. Well, I thought - hey you went away, like forever and I'm mad about it. So don't expect me to come runnin.

I was sleepin behind my favorite weird tree. I got up slllooowwwllly.

I took the time to stretch out the back legs.

And the front legs. (Ahh, that feels good.)

Then I sat on my human's foot and said Howdy.

I kept an eye on that human after that cause I don't know when they might take off again. If they leave a room I'm right there with em. They're not gonna disappear again.

For some reason they've started callin me "velcro." What the _ is "velcro?"

This Is Just Too Much. My Human Is Cheating On ME!

Well, I think I've told you all that one of my humans is off in a place called Ohio with my grandhumans. Supposedly one of the grandhumnas needed help but now I know that was all a ruse and I've got the pictures to prove it.

What kind of human goes off and cheats on the most special dog in the world? And then send pictures of the affair? I'm barkless.

Here is homewrecker #1. His name is Beau and I don't care how freakin cute anyone thinks he is!

Oh and now here is homewrecker #2. This is Dion. And Just look THEY went for a CAR RIDE! Like that isn't my most favorite thing in the world. Do you think I've been for a car ride lately? NO! But you just go off and drive around with other dogs.

Oh, here, just in case you didn't think this one was cute enough in the other picture. Now you can see his amazing blue eyes. Like I care about his lousy eyes.

And here I sit among the leaves. All alone. Sad and dejected. I don't even care if the human ever comes back from Ohio.

Oh not that it makes any difference that those dogs are my cousins and they were both homeless. Cheating is cheating and if you smell like another dog you are a cheater.

Where O Where Has My Human Gone

My house has a revolving door.

During "the week" there are lotsa workers here and I love them. They don't know the rules and do things like share lunches with me. Really great group of humans.

My regular humans usually are pretty reliable. But every now and again one of them will wander off and go missing for days. Luckily only one of them ever goes missing at a time so everyone here still gets fed and taken care of. Otherwise it would be total chaos!

Right now one human has gone missing. I've heard talk of a place called "Ohio" and the grandhumans needing help.

I'm not happy about it. I like things to stay the same. I like my humans where I can keep an eye on them.

I don't see why the grandhumans couldn't come here! They've done it before and I really like them. (Talk about rule breakers!)

I'm gonna pout!

Another Visit With Gryff

My cousin Gryff slept over again. My humans bought him a cheep stuffie so he wouldn't destroy any of mine. That maniac gutted it in under 60 seconds. Then he started eye-ballin my stash. I hardly slept because I had to guard them.

Another Ticker Check

Well it was time for me to into New York City for another pacemaker check up. Or as my human likes to say "time to make a payment on the battery."

I get nervous with all the traffic and concrete. I wouldn't get in the moving room at The Animal Medical Center so we walked up the long ramp. It would have been a great picture but I was moving too fast.

The waiting room had lotsa doggies and I was scared so I insisted on sittin on the bench with my human.

Alls well with my pacemaker. My battery has 4 to 6 years to go (then I get a new battery).

After the check up was over my human said we were going back home and that made me happy.

Now every time I do something that is not-approved-by-humans my human says "Watch it Hoover. 4 to 6 years." What is that? Some sort of threat?

Pictures From the Woods

Well it is really feeling like Fall here and my human was worried that all the leaves were gonna blow off the trees before pictures could be taken.

Nothing like a little pressure to get a human moving.

I'm a true country dog!

I'm gonna need a tick check after this hike.

I was movin pretty fast so there were a lot of blurry pictures.

I smelled a chipmunk in this rock but I couldn't find the little sucker!

Pink Baby is on Her Way to a New Adventure

Ok everybody. If you want to follow Pink Baby she is off to Michigan. She's going to be with Sissy, Sassy, Dixie, and Prairie at Expressly Corgi.

I think she's going to have a lot of fun there!

Pink Baby Has an Advernture Without Me

Pink Baby is leaving and my human wanted to take her somewhere special. I'm not mad just because I didn't get to go. My human tried to find out if dogs were allowed and I don't know why there is anyplace where dogs aren't allowed.

Anyway, now we know that dogs are allowed on the Walkway Over the Hudson River.

My human promises to take me there soon.

I guess it is a big deal and it just happened to open in time for Pink Baby to go see it.

Not the best picture. See how it goes when I'm not there (I'm just sayin)

I guess that is a nice view.

I think Pink Baby is enjoying it. I hope she's not afraid of heights!

So Pink Baby is off to her next adventure.

Makin Apple Cider

Every Fall there's a big to do here about mashin up apples and turnin em into a drink that humans love.

We have tons of apples, too many even for the piggy to eat. (Not that she couldn't eat them all but the humans don't think it would be good for her tummy.)

So they make cider.

Naturally I wanted Pink Baby to be part of the festivities. (But it can get messy so she checked things out BEFORE the mash started to fly.)

Here's Pink Baby hangin out in a basket of apples.

She said they smelled good so I leaned in to have a sniff myself.

Here's Pink Baby on the apple press. This is where thing can get really messy. So, it was a quick picture and then off to a safe place for her.

We'll see what other excitement we can drum up for Pink Baby before she leaves.

Pink Baby Has Arrived!

I waited all day yesterday for my favorite brown truck to pull up. (And I didn't just want to see him because he gives me treats!) But he never came.

Thank goodness he came today.

Here is the box that Pink Baby arrived in!

She showed me right away that she wasn't aggressive. But I knew that already.

I'm very gentle with stuffies so Pink Baby is safe with me.

I'm gonna show her around the farm. The human says we're in for some rain but I'll make sure she is safe and dry.
