First SNOW (and a clarification)

Hey all you bloggie doggies. We gots a really great first snow of the season here. But before I tell you all about the snow I need to clear something up.

I have never been banned from MY house. I was banned from the BIG house (also know as Gryff's house) for doin potties on the rug.

Now if Gryff was a stand up kind of guy he would admit that he had peed on the rug first, maybe many moons before I did, and that is why I felt compelled to pee there too.

MY house is MY house and I totally rule the roost so to speak.

I gets on all the furniture and I let the humans sleep in MY very large and high off the ground bed.

So, I just wanted to make sure you all understand the situation.

NOW about the SNOW!

It started to snow yesterday morning. There was a brief period where is was sleety rain, then it turned into huge flakes and it snowed for the rest of the day and into the night.

Here is the snow yesterday evening on our walkie to the barn. Look how I blend in here. and here. Things smell different covered in snow. Now I love the snow but my sister, Kirby, she no likey likey. The human had to bribe her with celery (yuck) to go potty.

  1. We LOVE the snow, too, as you can imagine.

  2. Woof! YES! I got it! Your HOUSE is YOUR HOUSE ... what's the deal???? Well, SNOWWWWWW!!!! Yah I almost missed you on your snow photo. LOL!!! Send the SNOW on my state ... I've been waiting. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

  3. Oh wow, you gotted way better snows up by you than I did down here in NJ. All the little snows did here woz make everything slickery and maded me fall in ice cold waters today while hiking!

  4. I khould hardly see woo in some of those pikhs!

    It was a pawesome time!

  5. Hi, Hoover!
The big house is not your house and your house is your house and he peed that rug before and.... Oh-oh! I am more confused now... Well... glad everything is ok now!
That is a lot of snow! I am not so sure I'd love to be there!!
    Kisses and hugs

  6. I have gots snow too, Hoover, and I love romping around in it. We probably have 6 or 8 inches, but I like the deeper stuff, where I can get my snooter down into it. Smell those little critters running around down there. More fun for us snow lovers in the winter!

  7. Well that explains it... sort of. We were very puzzled by the last post because we knew you lived in a house and were not an outside doggie. I am still confused as to how you managed to get two houses and who this Gryff charachter is! I think I have been reading your bloggie from the start so not sure how I got so confused!
Anyway... Man you are really workin' that camouflage! You wait all year for your coat to work and it is workin'! Very nice! If it weren't for your mostly black tail and red collar I would have missed you completely!

  8. I think we need pictures and a map and a genogram to really get a handle on this house/big house thing. The bigger question is why do those big house people care so much about pee on the rug? they never spilled nothing? there's stuff that can clean that rug. And if they had cleaned it right the first time, you wouldn't of smelled anything that said "pee here" anyways. that's what I think.
    your pal Morgan

  9. Hi Hoover
Does your human ever make you wear a coat in the snow. Mine does, a red one, mainly so she can spot me easily.
That said, not a flake here in Scotland so far this season. No fair!
    Cheers, H.

  10. you look happy playing with the snow and next time, have a white collar and roll in the snow so your tail is covered and the hoomans can't find you bol...

    TQ for the nice pics

  11. Is your sissy an actual pig? Oh my.

Yuh, I sometimes leave a bit of my Mango-ness when I go to strange places where other dogs have gone before. Just a happy reminder.

  12. Lovely snow pictures - and someone better STALK UP on CELERY for potty bribes, eh? Its gonna be a long cold winter!

  13. Thank goodness for your red collar, Hoover bud'...I wouldn't have noticed you! Seems like you are made for the snow!!! Go easy on Kirby!

  14. Wow that sure does look like a lot of fun. And where is your snow coat? We almost didn't see ya in the snow
